THE STORYLINE:
After 20 years in the police force, crime fighting is beginning to take its toll on Detective Jones (Garfield Reid) and by extension on his marriage. His wife Janet (Belinda Reid) is as frustrated with his lack of attention both inside and outside of the bedroom and, as John continues to fail to stand-up to his responsibilities, she seeks solace in an old flame Andre (Michael Nicholson). This is however more than a love triangle, as Andre is now married to Janet’s only child Cindy (Trudy Bell). Matters become even more complicated when John invites his son Stamma (Everaldo Creary/Stede Flash) up from the country to live with him and he takes along his sweetheart Delcita (Andrea Wright). As the story twists and turns, Delcita always finds herself in the middle, creating more pressure on the Joneses as they struggle to keep their marriage afloat.
The Plumber follows in the great tradition of comedic hits mounted by Stages Productions and is being touted as one of the funniest plays to hit the stage for 2010.
